Hawaii “golf” adventure!

Today my day was packed with hotel visits and rain and more rain.
My first stop was the JW Marriott Ihilani with Beverly being my wonderful guide and Sales Manager for the hotel. It was a few years since I have been to this resort and it really won me over. The location is remote, but with a lovely lagoon, a great pool and restaurant selection (they have a juicer for breakfast - bonus points), very comfortable rooms with large lanais, a spa with a sauna, steam room, gym with tennis courts, why leave?

Hawaii “golf” adventure!

All of Sunday was spent at the Sony Open. A huge thanks to the Halekulani for taking care of us. This was my first golf tournament and having access to the luxury box made it extra special. I got to meet the who’s who of Honolulu, while enjoying La Mar food, Nobu sushi and sake and the classic Halekulani Mai Tai. Oh and I saw some golf played, congratulations to winner Russell Henley.

Hawaii “Golf” Adventure!

After a whole day of exploration and eating all over the island, we ended the day at the Side Street Inn with an order or fried rice and garlic chicken.
The Side Street Inn has great food, just make sure to bring your friends with you, it is a lot of food. We finished most of the garlic chicken and gave away the rice to the homeless on the way to the hotel.
